Tulsa police confirmed Wednesday that four victims were killed by a shooter at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa (Okla.)

"Four innocents and one shooter" are dead

The shooter was not identified by police, but police said that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot injury.

Brooks stated that the shooter was carrying a gun and a handgun.

Tulsa police stated in a facebook post that the shooter was dead just before 6:05 p.m.

Police stated that officers were currently searching every room of the building for any additional threats.

"We know that there are multiple injuries and possibly multiple casualties."

Tulsa police Capt. Richard Meulenberg stated that multiple people were injured; he called it "catastrophic scenes."

According to data from the Gun Violence Archive, this shooting marks the 233rd mass shooter in the U.S. for the year.

A mass shooting is defined by the archive as at least four people killed or wounded, and not the shooter.
