The average rate for a 15-year fixed mortgage is 5.24%.

The average rate for a 30-year jumbo loan is 5.96% and that of a 5/1 ARM, 4.02%.

The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage rose to 6.10%, up from 5.97% just one day earlier

A 30-year fixed rate APR is 6.1%. It was 5.58% at the time of writing. APR refers to the total cost of your loan

Homebuyers who have a $100,000 30-year fixed rate mortgage will pay $606 per monthly in principal

and interest at today's rate of 6.10% (taxes not included). This is according to the Forbes Advisor mortgage calculator.

Over the term of the loan, the total interest would be $118,158.
