Director of the Secret Service Murray will retire at the closing of July

US Secret Service Director James Murray  

He has been in this capacity under Joe Biden, President Joe Biden and Former President Donald Trump 

He will end his employment on June 30 according to the agency.

Murray was a 27-year veteran of the Secret Service and ascended to directorship in April of 2019. 

Murray will join a tech company as the chief of security globally following his retirement, sources said to CNN. 

Biden and the first lady Jill Biden thanked Murray for his contribution in a statement released on Thursday 

noting that Murray "has been able to enjoy an impressive  

and long-running career in the military and federal service for over three decades."
